We are going to have a "open house (rental sim)" party. I'd like to offer some prizes and freebies of some sort to the guest who attend our party.

Aside from Lindens, what kind of prizes or freebies would entice you to come to a party?

Personally, I dont care about prizes and or freebies so I could care less. I go to the parties where my friends are. But we want to be noob friendly.

If your looking to attract new players you should compile a 'makeover in a box'. Add shoes, hair, shape, clothes, a free AO and some jewelry.

Also: A live performer would increase your attendance tremendously.

we will have a live performer and some DJS.

But really just want general opinion on what freebie and prizes people would like.

Our entertainment has a huge following.

Thanks.

A big no no...I've been to places that gave out freebies and that ended up being the same tired freebies you can get anywhere. Also, it seems many places give out freebies that seem to be things that retailers obviously couldn't sell (same experience I've had with un-Lucky chairs). If you can't get retailers to donate decent stuff then I would only go with Lindens.

If it's a rental sim then maybe a cool prize would be a gift certificate to a furniture store or garden store. I know to make it worth while that would be a lot of money, but perhaps it could be a prize for being the 10th avatar to arrive, or some such. Just my barely-formed idea.

I think you have a great idea!
I will look to see if I can get a bulk discount.

I know freebies are usually crap.
I can probabaly get some good prizes from some of my builder friends.

Thanks for your input Marin

Real noobs are in short supply in the forums :) so if you're looking to attract them maybe we're the wrong people to ask. On the other hand, if you're looking to attract us, just invite us, lol! There are renters here too ...

To answer your question tho ... it seems to me that lately, treasure hunts have been getting a lot more attention from the freebie-collecting community than just piles of stuff. It's fun, and more like an event. That would get people to wander around and get to know the best aspects of your sim as well.

I was just asking a general question.

My store in Aftershock is offering upthrough a Prize Ball some of my Spiders and Driders (including Mechanical) 7 total for free to ANYONE interested. I don't have an AV Age Limit.

If I am at the store just ask me to activate it, or IM me when I'm online and I can come activate it for those interested.

Oh Chris as if. I was so tired of throwing myself at you and being denied. I just gave up.
I can offer you party favors of the rated "G" variety.

Hey I was not the one to suggest the blow up dolls. I simply wondered if I could get one in my likeness. Purely innocent.
