A female avatar mush change her feet size to 0 in order to wear most prim shoes correctly. This seems to be the standard for most shoe makers. I was wondering, is there anything like that for men's shoes? I would think that size 0 feet on a male avatar would be too small. I found some freebie male shoes and they were so big that were like clown feet. I really don't want to buy a half a dozen pair just to satisfy my idle curiousity. I've asked a few men. Most don't know. Others say size 20, but the next guy will say 35.
Is there a standard male shoe size?
Does it vary from shoe maker to shoe maker?
Why are the freebie shoes so big that they look like gunboats?

Why are the freebie shoes so big that they look like gunboats? Hasn't this been asked before? JW... I cant remember XD Anyway, freebie shoes are big because big is easier, so not as much work goes into it... anyway, shoes can usually be rezised if you really want to, but they make your feet look proportionately correct in general imo, even if they force you to have size 0 feet. Plus..never been looking at an av and gone 'OMG! THEY HAVE TINY FRICKING FEET!!!"

20 to 24 suits me, about 6' 10"
and then I have to enlarge some shoes to make them fit

Most men tend to over state their shoe size.

From: Okiphia Anatine anyway, shoes can usually be rezised if you really want to Maybe usually, but not always. I had to return a pair of beautiful shoes that came in two sizes, 20 and 40, because they couldn't be modified, and even the smaller looked like I was a kid playing dress-up in Daddy's shoes. (Yeah, it's a look--just not the look I was going for. ) So my choices are to keep making my own, buying mod-perm shoes, or shopping in the Ladies' section. (It's a look...)

Prim shoes? size 0 Texture shoes? Just use whatever you think looks right.
FWIW .... John Wayne had size 7 feet. Getti Lee has 13+ (I can't remember right off but if you ever saw Rush in concert, then you know that man has some BIG FEET!!)

Several of the prim shoes that I have purchased for my male avatars said set the foot to size 30. That seems standard across makes for males, while zero is standard size for females.

From: Janice Betsen Prim shoes? size 0 Texture shoes? Just use whatever you think looks right. Pretty much I agree %100 with this quote in my experience. If you're talking prim footwear...unless your av is going to a beach or something it really doesn't make a difference visually what size the actual feet are, just the shoes/boots. Regardless of always having had a tall av, I usually have size 0 feet under the shoes by default, so I can switch shoes & boots whenever I feel like it.

I pretty much only wear prim shoes so I keep my feet at zero. I got tired of messing with it otherwise.

I believe Shiny Things' men's shoes come with a few size choices in the box. Plus, they're gorgeous.

Why are the freebie shoes so big that they look like gunboats? First off, shoes made for men are the worse features in sl. They're usually badly made in either being giant clown sized shoes which you see alot or tiny, tiny shoes. And in some cases you will get one pair of each in a box. Go figure. For the most part you don't need to change your foot size. If you're a new shopper, depending on what shoe you're looking for there are very few shops where you can find shoes that look normal. You can check outshops that provide demos but many shops don't allow you to take anything out your inventory yet, they have demos of shoes.
