It occurred to me tonight, while I was looking for something to do, I waste a lot of time looking for events or dance venues that sound great in the ad, but are empty when I arrive. Or worse, have exactly two avatars there -- and 3's a crowd they say.
So I remembered you could look on the big map for groups of green dots for happening places. I think this is called" dot-hopping," "dot-hounding,"or some such. The trouble is, from the big map, you can't tell what the attraction is. It might be a bunch of campers, a free sex area, or a meeting of the Red Hat Society for all I know.
If advertisers put the name of the Sim in their keywords in the classifieds, you could then do a search by Sim name and likely find what the deal is. I mean how many businesses can one Sim hold? No more than 20 at most I'd say, a very manageable list. Of course, it wouldn't do much good unless the majority of advertisers started doing it.
So would anyone else find this helpful at all? Do you follow the green dots and do you worry about TP'ing into an embarrassing situation? --KC

I usually click the "Show on Map" option for landmarks and events before I teleport so I know if it's happening or not.

Couldn't the system just search for events held in certain sims based on the system already knowing what sim the event is in?

From: Eben Slade I usually click the "Show on Map" option for landmarks and events before I teleport so I know if it's happening or not. Enjoy it while it lasts . The new update simply replaces double-clicking a landmark with "Are you sure you want to teleport? Yes / No / Don't show again". You now have to right-click the landmark, pick "About Landmark" (takes up about 1/4 screen for me) and then click "Show on Map".
