Hi!
I'm already djing in SL since several month.
I'm setting with winamp and oddcast.
I wanna know how I can download request when I'm streaming.
Which programs I need for? Do I need a special internet connection???
Even just give me a web page with info, it's will be a lot :)

Thanks a lot for your answers :) It's really appreciate :)

At the DJ events I've been to .. usually the DJ will give out an Email address to send in requests or it would be done through an IM to him/her ..

However if thats not your question ..

Assuming you have all the broadcasting paperwork .. you would just need a very fast broadband connection and a contract with an online comercial music library.

And if thats still not your question .. sorry I ain't going there .. Good luck.

Hi Karo! Yeah, from what I have seen the DJ will take requests through IM and download songs during the set from a provider like Napster. I would think it takes a lot of bandwidth to do that while streaming up at the same time, but I have never tried it.

For me if some one request something I do not have, I tell them I will have it for them next time/week and download it or the whole group afterwards and work it into the next play list. I think a lot of DJs do this as well. The reason I go after whole groups is in the event another track by that group is requested. I have the hard drive space to burn.
