I went on Second life on Monday 27th Oct and was told that I was banned from a land, then when i asked my friend why they said I was under investigation. I do know why I am under investigation nor have I received any notification that I am being investigated. If I was being investigated would I off received a email saying that I was?

If it was a private landowner who banned you your out of luck. You can be banned from other people's land at anytime for any reason or no reason at all and you unfortunately have absolutely no recourse.

The fact that you were able to log in proves you are not under any investigation, not at least from LL, and they are all who matter. They have a habit of shooting first, you wouls have been suspended and an email sent almost immediately. The person who banned you may have sent an Abuse Report to LL on you for something, which LL "allegedly" investigates, but you say you did nothing wrong, so i wouldn't worry about it. A "land owner" can ban you from their space for any reason, with no recourse for you other than talking to them and working it out.
