your original LL skin is located by default in your CLOTHING folder, in a folder called "Female Starter Outfit and shape) or something similar.
(or male of course)
If you do a item search in your inventory for skin it should show up.
Most skins you buy are no mod, thus you cant change eyebrows, etc.
Your top of head hair is a separate piece from the skin though. the original hair will be in that same folder.

You have to be wearing a skin at all times. Good thing too otherwise we'd have skinless people walking about....ew!  Hence you can't take a skin off, you can only replace it with another one. Try putting another one on. If your appearance doesn't change straight away give it a moment or two. Sometimes it takes a while for the new skin to 'rez in'. If you've deleted the first two you had then check out the Library at the bottom of your inventory. The base LL skins are in there. |

yup you can get your old self back. Just click wear in the menu. i made this same assumption and ended up walking around with demo plastered across my forehead.  until I tried wearing another one and it changed. lol.

Seen Eloh Eliot's demo skins? They look exactly like the normal ones. Until you grin. One I have has braces, which I think is really cool, and the demo has...missing teeth, and the remainder don't look very healthy either....

Who would have thought a thread on skins would provide my biggest laugh (thus far) of the day? Between Elora unwittingly wearing a spankme tattoo and the demos with braces and missing teeth.... ....oh and Dekka's idea of creating a "Demo" alt. Love it. /ponders new business venture: Complete Demo Avatar Kit ....continues laughing and wiping my eyes. |
