Has anyone else had this problem? I attempted to log on this morning to my home location. I was there last evening with no problems. When I logged on, I received a message that my home location wasn't available and that I needed to set a new home location! I attempted to contact the Sim owner (it is not mainland) to no avail. Is my home gone? I cannot tp to it from any location in SL!

From: Victorria Paine That sim may be down for some reason. Hmm.. If it was down, it wouldn't say that, though. Goodness knows my home sims have been down often enough on me and I've never seen that before. But with the way SL is behaving today, anything is possible, so, if the OP doesn't get a response from the owner within 24 hours, I'd report the region down and see what LL says about it.

Have you tried looking for your home location on the map and tping that way, or tping to a nearby location and flying the rest of the way?

Note: if a region is known down, it is shown as red on the map. If you go to an adjacent region and look at a down sim, it looks like the edge of the sim you're standing on (usually a beach, so usually ocean).
If the region is down, you can still report it and get them to up it, regardless of whether you're a Basic or Premium member. LL will bring up regions 24/7 so far as I've been able to tell. In my limited experience, it's taken about 2-4 hours.
It is also dimly possible that the region owner, if its not mainland, has simply not paid their bills and the region has been taken down by LL. Contact the owner.

Sometimes at sim owner requests, other times on their own to ensure other growing island chains have enough room. Moving the grid location invalidates Home Position as well as Landmarks. Try searching for the sim by name on the World Map. Or logging into it directly by the Log in by Region option on the login page. ~Jessy
