Where to buy a good male haircut

After spending a fair ammount of money on clothes and a HOT skin from MAX, I find that the hair that came with the newbie package....just doesn't do it for me anymore. Going to be making a look into doing some model/escort work, and really need a good haircut to compliment the rest of my ensemble. Any suggestions out there?

Many thanks

ETD has some nice men's hair. They only have about six styles. Did I mention they're on sale?

ETD is having a huge sale right now, and she makes wonderful hair. You SHOULD go there asap to see. The men's hair is greatly outnumber by ladies, but if you go to the left when you enter her store, you will find boy hairs.

Other good men's places I know of are

Aitui (he has some awesome men's hair, skin, and clothing all in one building)

Naughty Designs (he also has awesome mens *and women's* hair, but that place is laggy and hard to navigate for me, so if you want to go to their hair shop, IM me because I have a LM directly there).

Head2Toe Men's Wear has good stuff but my male alt has only worn his hats, so I can't say for sure on the hair.

You know I don't think there's anything stopping a male avvy from buying female hair. I'm sure if you're going for long luxurious locks like on the cover a romance novel....

Quite possibly the best male hair out at the moment imho. I wear their hair all the time and it's pretty awesome, lots of different styles (which for men is really hard to find).

Panache also have a range of pretty good mens hair.

I tried trying on some demos to see what it looked like. People were starring at me, so I left. It is very hard to be a male in SL :)

Mustaches & Beards

One of the stock male av's has blond hair and a full mustache & beard. Very nice style, imo, but I'd like to replace it with better quality prim hair. I tried on some nice prim hair, but it removed the mustache and beard! I wish that someone had a good-quality version of that stock av's hair, WITH the mustache & beard, or that there was a way of keeping them (the mustache & beard) when wearing other prim hair.

I agree that there isn't much out there for men, especially if you are looking for something different. I decided that since I have to have a short, conservative cut in RL, that I was going to have the hair I really want in SL, which is long. If there was a big gray-haired Willie Nelson style pony tail, I'd buy it. But most hair designers are going for the short spiky look, or something that's sweepy and heavy on the bangs, which makes sense, because it's the in style right now. It's just frustrating that everyone is doing the same thing.

I found the shops at Hairspray to have some good choices. I wish I could remember the name of the designer. As you leave the TP area, head to the right and it's one of the first ones there. I settled on a style called "Ozzy". You can probably imagine, lol. At any rate, I love it, and I've gotten a lot of compliments. It's a big moppy disaster of a haircut - just wonderful and it fits me perfectly. I'd still like a decent long hair style, but I just haven't found one that I really like.

Hell - just trying to find a pair of pants I really like is tough. It's all jeans, cargo pants and tuxedos.

I can't believe I'm spending this kind of effort in SL when in RL all I wear is shorts and t-shirts when I'm not at work.

The Men's Second Style site at http://second-man.com has reviews of hair, as well as skins, clothing, and accessories. This makes it easy to see a variety of styles from several designers, and pick the ones you like.

I like Mystikal, but there are many others. Make sure you go through the archives there.

Nothing wrong with taking the demos and going home to try on in private ;) I tend to do that so you can spend more time deciding if it's right before going back and buying.

hehe sorry - went to a George Thorogood Concert last week

- Cant resist ..

-------------------
I was a rebel from the day i left school
Grew my hair long and broke all the rules
I'd sit and listen to my records all day
With big ambitions of where i could play

My parents taught me what life was about
So i grew up the type they warned me about
They said my friends were just an unruly mob
And i should get a haircut and get a real job

Get a haircut and get a real job
Clean your act up and don't be a slob
Get it together like your big brother bob
Why don't you get a haircut and get a real job

I even tried that 9 to 5 scene
I told myself that it was all a bad dream
I found a band and some good songs to play
And now I party all night, I sleep all day

I met this chick she was my No.1 fan
She took me home to meet her mommy and dad
They took one look at me and said ("oh my god";)
Get a haircut and get a real job

Get a real job, why don't you get a real job
Get a real job, why don't you get a real job

I hit the big time with my rock 'n' roll band
The future's brighter now than I'd ever planned
I'm ten times richer than my big brother bob
And he, he's got a haircut he's got a real job

Why don't you get a haircut and get a real job
