I came back to a mandatory update and now I can't log on at all! I open the viewer and don't even get a picture on the screen! Does anyone know of a simple viewer that is made for older machines that I can download and try? I tried The Emerald viewer and that doesn't work either.

When I put in all my info and click log in, I get the Oops an unexpected error beyond our control has occured. Please check the grid status for updates and I know the grid is fine. All was well before this update. . . Help please!!!!

Thank you in advance!

Cool Viewer lives at http://sldev.free.fr/ You might try the "Legacy renderer (recommended for "old" computers with single core CPU and/or "old" graphic cards (e.g. Nvidia 7300 and older))," which is SL 1.19.0.5 (the last pre-Windlight version) maintained with all the necessary patches to make it work in SL nowadays plus some very useful features not found in the Official version.

List of Viewers
09-13-2009 19:43
I found this list of where to download previous viewers:

http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Old_versions

I still use the 1.18.3.5 version with the corresponding Nicholaz overlay as my primary viewer.

Occasionally I use the Cool Viewer and recently downloaded the Emerald Viewer just to check it out but my tried and true is the first one.

Thanks Czari but all the viewers I have downloaded are a no-go. Grrrrr!!

My graphics card can't be that bad because I was able to play before the forced update. Did they really change that much?? I really never had any problems before.

I downloaded the Emerald and Cool viewer and nothing. . . I really need my fix :-(
