Need help with "walking" !

Hello everyone,

could anyone tell me how you make the "sexy walks" work?

have a folder sat in my inventory with 3 in there and can play them in world etc but wondered how you can apply them to actually be your " normal walk"??

I got a sexy walk replacer from CanDy and wear it on my hip. It's automatic.

Some shoes and boots come with them built in.

Get an animation overrider and drag the walk you like into it

Try searching for a free "Animation override" or "AO". ZHAO is a common one. You can put your sexy walk animations in the AO, then wear the AO, and that will make it work for you.

You could try Free Dove... I think that's the right name. It's a freebie place. Or Sarah Nerd's Freebie Paradise is another good one.

I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find a free AO at either of them.

Animation Warehouse, in the room with Vista animations, has the Zhao huds on the wall above the door (free).

This is the best ao I have had my hands on.

On Avatar island, there is a group of regulars that hangs out there...
They are kind of hard to talk to if you are not in their clique but if you can talk to them, ask them about a sexy walk.
Someone from there gave me one and it is nice.
Really you wilkl have to attach it but it should not come off unless you "detach all" or use another animation for something unrelated to walking...

I am sure most of them have this and would probably share it.

I just sent you a Zhao II AO that has the sexy walk in it.

Try not using an AO and walk like LL intened us to do!

There's a ready-made 'sexy walk' AO in the Jill in a Box starter kit that's available in several places inworld. I last spotted it at the Fabulously Free store in Talisman. Just wear it from inventory, if you don't want to put together an AO of your own. Otherwise, if you want to try putting one together, there's a very good illustrated tutorial here:

It doesn't actually deal with putting a walk into the AO (it deals with stands and flight animations), but the same principle applies. It sounds as though you have the actual animations in your inventory, so just follow the instructions there, drag the animation into the ZHAO as shown, and add the animation's name to the notecard under the 'walking' section.

I have the ZHAO AO, and it appears as a series of buttons at the top left of my screen; when I look at it in my Inventory it says it's attached at top left. It gives a message saying that sexy walk is on... but only very occasionally do I walk 'sexy' (*giggles*)... and my Animations folder seems to be empty.

Any clues what I might still need to do here? I am a total newb *blushes*

Right click the ZHAO on your screen and select Edit, then go to the contents tab and view the config card -- probably called Default if you have not done anything to it. There may be multiple walks listed in it and it may be cycling between them so that you only sometimes walk using the Sexy one. The contents should also have a Help or Instruction card of some type, which will help explain the config card to you.

As an additional note - The ZHAO will be using animations that are in the Contents tab and not one from you Animations folder.

Thanks for getting me into there, Jewell! The other thing I needed to do was turn on the ZHAO <giggles> (I wasn't clear that when it was green and saying ON, that means it's on - not an invitation to click to TURN it on... maybe I'm the only slow one about such stuff, but that's what I needed to do mainly I think. SO... other newbs... make sure the ZHAO is showing green / ON

Note: when you're tired of the animation... don't just take it out of the AO, take it out of the notecard as well, and reload it. Otherwise you spam all the scripters around you with error messages.
