Is it possible to check someone's profile without logging into Second Life? I frequently get messages in my email from people I don't know offering me "gifts" or group invites. It would be easier to see who these people are without having to log in. Thanks

Certainly, provided the user hasn't excluded their profile from the new search system Give this a shot: http://taterunino.net/searchform.htmlPersonally, I like to use a slick firefox toolbar... I think this may be it, by Nina Stepford: http://mycroft.mozdev.org/jsreq.html

Just wait until you log in, they'll be there waiting for you and you can then check profiles before you accept. Personally I decline everything that hasnt been requested/purchased or isnt from someone I know. Im more than capable of filling my inventory with useless shite myself without having strangers do it for me

From: Caroline Ra Im more than capable of filling my inventory with useless shite myself without having strangers do it for me It's a hard skill to master, but after a while you get better it. My inv is now so twisted and disorganised that I'm scared to open it. I was thinking of making a start though by pulling out all the old pre-flexi hair making a big pile and burning it. That taterunino thing is great! I never knew you could do this

I use Nina's plug-in too. I THINK that it searches non-mature by default, so you might not see people with profiles flagged as mature. Also, not everyone has a visible web profile, but everyone has an in-game profile. It's mostly useful, though.

zonkster.com also enables to to check SL profiles: http://www.zonkster.com/index.htm(however, now that I've seen it, I think the taterunino.net one is a bit easier to navigate...thanks for the link!)
