It is 2000, its just broken down to 500 after 30 days, 500 more after @60 days and 1000 after @90 days.

Ah, Thanks Pie. I have been wondering about that. I thought as Briana stated they had simply significantly reduced the referral fee from 3K to 500.

Glad I have finally made some Lindens.

Shame that SL seems to have one of the lowest conversion rates in the history of affiliate marketing.

That almost makes sense of what I got a few days ago. I keep getting 500s, but a few days ago I got a 1000 and a 500 for refering the same person.

It would be fabulous to have a list of who I actually referred, but I don't think that information is available anywhere other then the email Phil mentioned that you get (occasionally) saying yes, you got a bonus for referring so-and-so.

I do know a few months back I was getting repeat bonuses from some of the (but not all of the) people I had referred early in 2004... people I am sure I had received a bonus for way back then because one of the bonuses came for referring my partner. I "think" I only received double bonuses from people who I referred back in 2004 that are actually still active in-world, but I'm not 100% on that.

But that's why I was so handy with the info about bonuses, I had recently looked it up wondering why I was getting a nice little chunk of redundant bonus money.

With so many things that get borked in SL costing me money, it was nice being on the other end of the equation. It was like a watching a bully get beat up... you know it's wrong to be happy but you just cant help but feel a little like justice is being served.

The entire referal system is broken anyways (unless they finally fixed it in the last month) I've gotten close to 12000 linden from referals of the same person (it said ingame who the avatar was) 2000 a month..
