I have a question for someone out there, I have been trying to convert a compatible video format for SL Video i know it runs on Quicktime and supports the formats .MOV / and .SWF
But it seems iv been having problems getting them to work,
I'm using a program called Apex Video Converter and i was wondering this.
I'm trying to use the .MOV Format
It wants me to select a Movie Codec along with the format which of the following should i chose if anyone knows this may be my problem heres a list.
Animation Codec
BMP Codec
Component Video Codec
mpg4 Visual Codec
JPEG Codec
H261 Codec
H263 Codec
H264 Codec
Sorenson 3 Codec
Sorenson Codec
Does anyone know what these are and if so what one should be chosen
sorry if this question sounds a little dumb i'm just trying to narrow down my problem.

you could get just about any video editing software and just use mpeg1, quicktime supports that too, its smaller and if done right can be as good as (sd) broadcast TV running full screen
less headache too

I uase mpeg1 as well, it's defintely NOT smaller that the better codecs outhtere, but it's dead easy, works anywhere and is VERY fast to encode compared to others...

I seriously hate the .Mov requirements on video. I swear, my dream in SL is to stream the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade into SL, and have a major party for those who want to watch it with me. As a kid, that is how I spent the holiday and it was very special to me. Now that I'm older, I only have my dad and 2 cousins left, everyone else having past away, so it's not such a special holiday anymore.
Unfortunately I cant find a way and it totally P.O. me!
