So I log on to XStreet to bowl down the empty aisles and with what am I greeted? Ask me...go ahead...ask me! OK, let me tell you. An ad. Not just ANY ad--a flashing BANNER ad. What does that ad say, you ask? "Camping. Up to $18,000L a day!"
I give up. I totally give up.

Camping is still allowed, it's using camping to influence traffic that is banned.

OK fine but who in their right mind would pay 18K a day for camping on unlisted land? Green cylinders can to that job a lot more cheaply :/

So it's not ticked to show in search...why pay campers that much? What are they gaining? I don't GET IT. And how do they come up so high in search if the land isn't ticked?

Oh, the parcel really is unflagged now? One of LL's punishments for traffic gaming is (usually temporary) removal from search. So, maybe this one is already being dealt with?

You can still find it in search, but when you go to the land, it isn't ticked to show in search. Again, color me confused. And no, it doesnt' take much. When you search under places, it even lists their traffic. How is that even possible if the land isn't ticked to show in search????????

OK, just noticed that only the owner can see if the land is ticked to show in search? I had no idea that was possible. So....we have a business advertising camping on XStreet via a flashing banner that some Linden had to approve. They have traffic that is putting them ahead of the game in search. What's wrong with this picture?

Places tab is the most telling one, that is a more or less real time view. All search can lag by a day or two, the place pages are updated in batches.
The view in About Land can be deceptive, you normally won't see it checked if you don't have sufficient permissions. Advanced->View Admin Options will let you see the real setting.

Places tab shows their traffic at 17K which tells me that they ARE using camping to game traffic figures. Just ticks me off. We get warned about two camping pads, while this place is paying out over 18K a day AND using LL to advertise that fact??!!

The adult content policy has been the same, some have been told they're being naughty and complied and others get away with it, LL never follow anything through, they don't have the resources or will to do so.
