Make a little bitty prim, put in front of your face. Ctrl-left click it so your avatar focuses on it, then right click your avatar and choose the appearance option.

Something like that anyway.

Love's very, very close. The trick is to focus on a prim _behind_ you, then go into appearance mode. The eyes are shifty because your avatar really is trying to look straight ahead, but the appearance animation flips you 180 degrees so you are really facing backward. I'm sure that backwards thing made sense to someone, once upon a time.

eta: this is a lot more reliable if you can get your avatar facing due east first.

But in appearance mode you do that pose with your arms out, right?

What if they used a pose or a photo studio and then did the focus on a prim thing?

Yep, sitting makes it easier to get the eyes straight with that pose, but if you really need appearance mode, going into it unseats you :/

Oh I meant focus on the prim without going into appearance.
