ok, i have some setting wacked out or something.

everytime i click "Upload Texture" my client immediately shuts down. jsut closes the window. at first i thought it was a fluke or glitch, but it's happened every time, for several days.

anyone dealt with this before?

It was happening really consistently for me. Only way around it I found was to upload as soon as I log in. 1 item at a time (not batch) and do it in a lag free place.

It's been happening to me a few time during the last few days and it's happened before but not for a couple of months. I've got this huge file of textures I've collected from the net on my PC, rather than upload them all to my inventory at 10 Linden a shot I upload them as I need them. The last few days I've been uploading quite a few and every now and again it crashes the connection.

I thought it might be the BMP files because they tend to be bigger than JPEG, but I tried a few just now and no problem. I then tried going to preferences and turning everything up to max (put the system under a bit of pressure) and upload, still no problem.

I'm going to be uploading a fair bit over the next few days, if I can spot a pattern developing I'll let you know.

i'm in a lag free place, at first log in, click "upload image" and it just shuts down my window. instantly. takes a few minutes to actually log the avatar out of SL, but my puter doesn't know that.

i tried ctrl-U and got the same results. grrrr

I might try turning the router and modem off for a few minutes.

Also might try a different viewer.

Also might try with firewall turned off. Make sure the ports are set properly in the router and firewall settings.

Have you checked jira?

Didja update your video drivers recently? Like right before you had the problem?

If so, the older client might have hated the newer drivers and caused the crash. Doesn't make sense to me, but I had this happen years ago and that's what really solved it.
