OK, I give. Anybody know if it’s possible to set an individual linked prim’s parameter to phantom yet keep the rest of the object non phantom?
I’ve tried llSetStatus and llSetLinkPrimitiveParams but both affect the whole object, not just the targeted linked prim. Example below:
llSetStatus(STATUS_PHYSICS, FALSE); llSetStatus(STATUS_PHANTOM, FALSE); llSetLinkPrimitiveParams(2,[PRIM_PHANTOM,TRUE]);
Any ideas? Thanks.

It can't be done. If one of the linked prims is set to phantom, the whole object goes phantom.

the trick I use is place the phantom prim inside the contents of the other prim and have the other prim rez it. sorta like how people with swimming pools do it to keep the water phantom and sides not. so i put the phantom prim inside a root prim and use this script default { on_rez(integer start_param) { llResetScript(); } state_entry() { llRezObject("nameofprim", llGetPos() + <.0, .0, .0>, ZERO_VECTOR, ZERO_ROTATION, 42); } } and that will give the illusion of a phantom prim linked to non phantom prim everytime you rez the item you wil have to play with the position on the rez to get it how you want it since as it is now is for center of the root prim aka a round pool for phantom water but mod it and it'll work for ya.

I'm not inworld right now so I can't remember the exact settings...but what you can do is adjust the flexible settings which will make that prim act phantom.

From: Desiree Bisiani I'm not inworld right now so I can't remember the exact settings...but what you can do is adjust the flexible settings which will make that prim act phantom. The trick to this approach is to make the single prim "Flexible", but also to make it very stiff and unresponsive to wind. It may still move a bit, no matter what you do. But just trying to set a single prim to "Phantom" will not work.
