I love to focus on one thing at a time and really...how many houses can I decorate? >Insert Shameless Plug Here>if anyone wants a virtual decorator...please let me know! So, I have decided to start working on my snapshot skills. I am planning on getting a Orb/Studio thingy. But I am wondering what else I need? I have seen a lot of other things including windlights, umbrella lights, etc. but I don't want to waste money on needless hype. At the same time, I want to improve the quality of my pics. I was looking at poses on SLX and saw some really amazing pics by Leila Carroll of Meya...check this out: http://www.slexchange.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=images&ItemID=565667So, how do I go about achieving that? TIA, Coco

That pic looks like it had some PS work done to it with dodge, burn, and overall contrast adjustments. (^_^)
As for a photo studio... A functional one really only needs a poseball per avatar and a backdrop. The backdrop can be 2d or 3d or even green-screen to add a backdrop later in editing. What I do for lighting is simply rez spheres or boxes and turn the light feature on. I use quantity and space to adjust the light levels more than trying to adjust the light settings. (^_^)
For a more realistic style studio with reflectors and cameras on display, check out Glowbox. They have a good collection of photo studio equipment that's both attractive and rather functional. (^_^)
Finally, I use a "Look At Me - Alt + Click" box to focus the avatar eyes on the camera. The box carries a simple script that makes it disappear on chat command so that everything can be lined up right, then *poof* ready to take the picture. (^_^)y

I had so much fun taking pictures with that pose the other night and some others. There is a studio you can use in world or even just buy it from them too. Also touching up the image yourself with Photo Shop.

From: DaQbet Kish What is this? How or where do I get one? I made a simple texture and used a version of my slideshow script to make it work. I'll try to remember once I go inworld and send you a copy. If you have the chance, IM me so that I'll remember. (^_^)y
