What is Grid Spam: with a message

I was on my private sim and working away and all the sudden green text filled my screen with this:

Grid Spam: you are being watched you are being watched you are being watched you are being watched you are being watched you are being watched you are being watched


besides being a big run on sentence?

Green text means it's a rezzed object, or an object worn by someone that is saying or shouting that to everyone within range. I would assume it's just someone's lame idea of a joke.

Ok, i was the only one that saw it. There was someone standing next to me and they didnt see the text. I had to sign off and back on. My land protectors didnt show anyone on the Sim so I was confused how they could do that.

Unless you've changed your chat color scheme, green means an object, and I'm unaware of any way for an EXTERNAL object (not owned by you) to target one person with whisper, say, or shout chat. Even if I'm wrong on that, I'd still shrug it off as someone thinking they're being funny... either that or I'd raise an eyebrow at the person who was standing there.

Instant messages from objects will look just like chat from objects in the regular viewer (they don't open a special window like the IMs from avatars do). That is probably what you saw.
