I have been away for few months and just came back.. of course updates where waiting for me upon turning SL on

I,ve mainly noticed two diference:

1- when you "edit" any object to move things around, as soon a the edit window is closed, the view straight comes back to where it was.

This is becoming a pain.. as you need to set back the view near the object for every edit detail you do till you are done and it makes the job take sooo much longer to do !

Why was this done ? at least before the view stayed as you set it till you were done and then only you could reset view yourself. But not to have it done automaticaly EACH time you leave "edit" ! lol I feel like I spend more time bringin my view close to the object than I spend time actually editing it lol

Please make this detail as it was before, think of the builders :)

2- I have been building a lot and never think of myself. Yesterday I wanted to make myself a gift and buy some furniture from a builder I truly enjoy the work.. but when I got there, I couldn't buy.

The item was for sale. But when clicking edit to see the # of prims those furniture pieces would use on my land, I had a gray window. impossible to see any basic info (creator/owner/prim use/new owner privs)

Is this really a new feature ? or is some new script around that block the info or make creations "truely" no privs ?

If it is a new feature it,s sad for I wont start IM'ing the store owner every time I want to know how many prim a piece use.. I left without buying instead. But as of my own creations, I will make sure I include the # of prims in the furniture name so people don't do as I did and leave..

One next update what would be nice in that regard would be to have the entire object name show when you extend the "buy" window instead of just a part of it.

Hi Ambrosia and welcome back!

For your first question: I've never experienced this, but try focusing your camera with Alt-Left Click on the item you're editing. The camera only changes back to your avatar view when you actually move around.

For your second question: It sounds like you've got "Select Only my Objects" checked in the Tools menu. Try unchecking that; you''ll see lots more info on stuff that way. I hope this helps!

On item 1, it's possible that Preferences | Input & Camera | Automatic Edit Camera Movement somehow changed from however it was set before.

It's what I was doing before, I just tryed it again in case it would work.. but no, the view resets every time.

Indeed someone had just showed me this feature few days ago while trying to select my obects on my land without including the neibor's, and I didn,t turn it off lol

I had no idea it would affect the simple edit when trying to buy, Thanks for the tip! lol
