on this dambed forum. I go to forums to read the interesting, informative, funny, outrageous threads. Not to get the "browser timed out" error nine out of ten time when I select a thread to read. Not to mention when I can finally read a thread and attempt to post to it, I get the same error. Guess I will see you all around some place, but I go to forums to read, not be frustrated by consent errors. Oh, it only took me 5 tries to get this to post.

I thought it was just me, too. It's not just the forums......the whole SL website seems to be moving very sluggishly, if at all. And I noticed that the log in screen on SL has been the exact same for 3 or 4 days. It's consistently 10:22 a.m. PST, and there are 42 thousand something logged on no matter what day or time. It's just the usual SL stuff

From: Isabeau Imako What does that do? If it helps any I'd like to understand... (F5) (using ie7)? with internet explorer(or many other browsers) u can have tabs in the main window so u don`t get 20 open windows simple middle mouse click on a link opens it in a new tab so easy to open and same with closing, middle mouse button on the tab and it closes F5 is the shortcut to page refresh so if it doesn`t loads u can just hit f5 instead of pressing the refresh button

From: Brenda Connolly They say so is Chastity...... I must be the most virtuous person there is then! Seriously people, websites need maintainence and the internet is not constant! Spare a thought for people and businesses using Pipex today which went pop-belly-up for several hours.

Make sure to do an internet speed test to confirm that it is LL's server malfunctioning and not your own ISP. http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ I understand your frustration; it happens to me all of the time when I am browsing in here. You can try refreshing your connection in Network places of Windows XP/Vista; that usually works for me. It would seem as though when LL is having a problem with one of its features, another suffers as well as though the hamster wheel is connected to the grid & the forums. As I post this message, voice is not working in world and has not been since earlier this morning. Also, when I teleported to my friend's residence, the sim's dialation was deplorable with lots of lag. I managed to TP to the other 6 residents in the sim to see if they were griefers; they weren't doing anything wrong, just standing around. The clear cache advice may sound cliche, but it can be helpful for webpages too. I clear out all cookies and cache files out of Firefox and IE daily. Good luck to you; don't let the problems hinder your fun on the forums!
