Couple of things for a beginner. :B

Hey guys, I'm a complete beginner in terms of experience in Second Life.

Just wanted to know a couple of things; I would appreciate any answers.

1. When I use the money transfer thing (the process in which you convert L$ to real-life USD), does that money able to go to a PayPal account? If so, can I then convert that money to Canadian dollars (I live in Canada)?

2. Is there group that I can (voice) chat with on Second Life in-game and can help me understand the basics in SL and how to make money?

Yes, by selling your Linden currency on the Lindex or directly to LL, you're given a balance in U.S. dollars which you can then cash out to your PayPal account if you've set it up in your account profile. Go to your account summary and click on Process Credit which is beside the US balance and it will walk you through the PayPal transfer. If you've set up your Canadian bank account in PayPal, just wait for the funds to arrive from LL, then transfer the US funds in PayPal to your bank account. The conversion from US to CAD is automatic when the funds are transferred to your bank.

There are many helper groups in world, and aids you can access through this web site. I'm not aware of any that exclusively use voice chat...not sure why this is a requirement for you.
