Instant Message Log

I was wondering if there was a way to pull up old instant messages if you have the log option clicked. I thought I put a conversation into a notecard but to my surprise it covered a small part of the conversation and not the whole conversation. Does the hardrive keep a copy somewhere like yahoo or most chat programs do?

Only if you set it up that way from the start- and even then you may have to look between the IM and the chat log for accuracy.

If you have logging enabled you caN usually find the chat logs in your documents and settings folder. Just open preferences again and then click on the communications tab . There on the bottom is a button that says Change Path. if you look next to the button is the current path where the logs are stored. just copy that path and paste it in your folder browser and it will take you right to it

I have a problem I've NEVER had until I was forced to take this last viewer update.

I dont want my IMs logged. I've shut this off many times now, clicked APPLY, did a raindance over my keyboard and nothing is working. Every IM comes up proudly proclaiming it's logging.

Short of taking a blowtorch to whatever folder it's merrily saving all this to, is there some way I can make this (%$*#)%* stop? (yea, other than the big joke of "dont engage in IMs in game)
