Is there a timetable for when the world map overhead picture is taken? I've re-terraformed my land big-time weeks ago, and yet I get the old, old view. And I apologize. I thought I had seen this topic before, many moons ago, but I couldn't find it by searching the forums.

A friend of mine was recently complainng to me that his map didn't update for 5 weeks after he terraformed his sim. Dunno if 5 weeks is standard or just a ballbark figure though.

I bought a parcel (and later sold it) on one of the new mainland sims released in late May/early June. Looking at it about 2 weeks ago it had been updated so it's somewhere between 1 and 2 months. Also, my new land in the northern part of Heterocera Atoll was updated earlier this week.
Since I'm assuming they just go in some kind of order over the grid most mainland has probably been updated in the last couple weeks. The thing that takes so long now is the expanse where all the private islands reside.

I want to say, "About the same time as the Google map does for my area," 8 or 9 months?
But I'll go with every two months instead. There is a lot more land now and the process is a lot slower.
