That's all the information I get when I try to log in to SL this morning; a tiny message box with just "Login failed". My account page on the web site looks normal. I've tried several sims, including one I know is up because my friend is logged on there. Is there at least a way to find out *why* the login failed?

After 30 minutes of repeated attempts, it suddenly worked! *phew*
It would be nice if the login error message wasn't so terse. A reason that tells me it's a technical problem, not something wrong with my account. At least some indication that it's a temporary problem and I will Be Gretchen again!

Sadly SL just does this sometimes .. picks someone at random seemingly and says 'no'. Nothing much you can do about it except plug at it till the server smiles at you.
