One of my friends and I are unable to see that we're online when we look at one another's names in our Friends/Contacts list. My other friends show in bold type when they're online, and there are also sometimes popup announcement ("TX is online"  . This has been happening for several days; before that we were able to "see" one another. The "invisible" friend and I have made sure that our "Friend" settings allow us (theoretically) to see one another online. Can anyone advise about this problem before I go to SL Support? Thanks! |

If you're positive that the "eye" is checked on both sides, and it still doesn't work, you could try removing each other and re-friending. I dunno, just a total shot in the dark, but it might work.

I have to say it cuz Support will tell you it anyway:
1) clear cache
2) completely delete the cache folder
3) completely delete the Second Life Application Data folder
None of those really sound like they could help here, but it is still standard Support talk so you might as well do it before you contact them -- if removing and re-friending does not work.

Try the simple things first. Remove friends, remove calling cards on each end, re-friend.
