Don't know about you but I've managed to accumulate so many landmarks in 'my landmarks' that it takes me ages to find anything. Most listed are now totally useless as I don't remember why I recorded them in the first place.

So the obvious question..anyone know how to delete them from the list ? I thought it was a simple case of deleting them from the landmarks list in the inventory..but no!! they still remain un-deleted in the map list.

Thanks..

Perre..:)

Have you also emptied the trash?

Also, any LMs you have hidden anywhere else in your inventory, will appear on the map dropdown. Like LMs included in stuff you buy, that are in other folders, will be on the map dropdown.

That usually means they're in other folders, such as clothing. To find the extras, go to Inventory>File>Show Filters, click the 'None' button, and then check the Landmark box. You can then delete or move the extras.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

You should be able to delete them from your inventory (not your map). One way would be by using 'filters'.

Once in 'Inventory', go to the File tab and choose 'Show Filters' (going by memory). You'll get a new mini-window, uncheck everything except Landmarks. In your inventory you will be able to see all your accumulated landmarks, then just delete all the ones you no longer wish to see.

Thanks folks that did the trick, I don't have to scroll through hundreds of place names now.

get mysti tool and just put your landmarks in there ..it is just a matter of clicking the lm button and picking from the menu..plus you have a history button of places you have been ..like 20 of the last places you were at that are auto recorded..
it has me spoiled..i hate to open my inventory for anything anymore..it's so huge and an endless pit if stuff lol
my worst enemy is the detach all button ..got i hate lagging out and hitting that thing

I also have most of my most used LMs in my Mystitools. It's a painful process to go to each individual landmark to see what or where it is.Somedays I just want to delete every single one of them and start over. I remember most places by name anyways so I just search and tp from there.

I'd also like to suggest doing this too, I have sub-folders in the Landmark folder. They're sorted by categories like clothing, textures,garden/plant stores and so on. And every few months I do teleport test runs to make sure some of the less frequented ones haven't moved their businesses. If the store is gone, then I look in Search for the store name or owner's profile. I've deleted a number of old LM's this way.

Which reminds me, it is time for me to start tping again to verify existences of stores again. Just check out a few of your older LM's every day, move the good ones into sub-folders.

Me too. I do subfolders labeled shopping, horseback riding, etc... For me, it helps keep it more organized and not have to run through the whole list.

For those of you who don't have the courage to 'delete'...I just blitzed over 200!!

I now have eight..yes 8 landmarks left (and five of those are within my house - well don't you just hate having to walk up the stairs, uh so tedious!)

Why don't you create an internal TP? A friend of mine did this. She embedded the TP script into a 1-prim picture of herself which she put on the wall downstairs. When you click on the picture and select "teleport", it sends you upstairs. You can create one for upstairs too which will send you downstairs.

Here is a simple tutorial:
