When I am out and about somewhere interesting, I want to take a picture of myself. Problem is that after I camera angle around so I am facing my avatar, she keeps flipping her head off to the side. I can't ever get her to stay still, especially in a full frontal. I have snapped a few and gotten them almost right, by waiting and waiting to catch her between head tosses. But this is a very tedious process.
Obiviously, there must be a better way, maybe using animations in some way? I have a ZHAO for everday loaded with the Breeze set with walk, sit flly, etc, but that doesn't keep her head completely still in those poses.
So all you models and photographers out there, how do I do this? What do I need, especially to take photos on the fly, not just in a studio?
Thanks, Princess Ivory

I assume you're using alt zoom? ...if when zooming you click to the left or right of your av that makes the head look away to the side...but of you click directly on your av's face then she should be looking straight forward.

Use a pose from your Animations folder in your inventory. That way your AV will stay still. You can find tons of poses at the freebie shops.

this is the easiest way to do it. create a folder of standing lvl4 poses, then 'play local' and snap pics. From: Calveen Kline Use a pose from your Animations folder in your inventory. That way your AV will stay still. You can find tons of poses at the freebie shops.

Any suggestions about where to find *good* freebie model poses (I've sorted through plenty in my inventory freebies that aren't!)? Or who makes good poses for purchase? I'm very new to using poses, so I appreciate any feedback I can get so I don't waste hours of time trolling around SL, picking up bad freebies. Thanks, Princess Ivory

Luth (Reel Movement) makes amazing poses- for sale. The packages are kinda expensive but if you've got an idea of exactly what you want you can pick and choose your own package out of the single poses and come in at a specific budget- there are hundreds though so it takes a while. (I'm just anal retentive enough to do it though)
Non sale- I only found one freebie box that had good poses, and I don't remember where it was =( if you IM me in game I'll toss over what I sorted through and decided not to toss. No guarantees it will have what you're looking for though.

Just activate the camera controls. Spin yourself around the way you want to be facing (your back to the pretty scenery). Then just rotate the camera around, and snap the picture. Done!

Mostly, for static poses, I wouldn't spend a lot of money. You can find a lot of good ones for cheap or free. Multi-frame animations are an entirely different matter- there is typically a significant gap in quality between the free ones and the expensive ones. Not that all the freebie poses are good- you'll have to do a little sorting- but among the freebies you can find a nice selection of good ones.
Freebie Dungeon and Freebie Warehouse probably have most of the free animations.
I know M&P has a nice set of freebie poses, which I think I might have seen available at Sarah Nerd's freebie place, but since M&P are merchants who I assume created the freebies as a way of getting people to look in their store, why not go to the store? If you do a Places search just for "Animations," M&P Shop comes up about halfway down the list, and if I recall they are in boxes on like the second or third floor.
