Anyone else have this issue? This has been happening to me for months.

I will really appreciate anyone who's encountered this issue to reply, especially if you figured out why this happens.

I just logged on with no problems. Are you using your SL account name and password? Also, there were some grid problems earlier. It seems that when there are asset server problems, xstreet disables transactions also.

How strange! Yes, I was logging in to xstreetSL with my secondlife.com and SL client password/username. As you can see, I can log into here without problems. Somehow it won't work for my xstreetsl. Very strange... I'm completely confused.

Not quite the same problem - but I found that I could login to everything but the new blog. I had to change my password because it conflicted with the security protocol.

I suggest you try changing your password and see if that solves it.

Hopefully someone else might have a better idea as to what might be happening. In the meantime, this is xstreetsl's support email address.

support@xstreetsl.com

I would send an email there explaining your problem.

Good idea. I'll try to change my password and see if that will help. Thanks Deira.

Also, I really appreciate your help too Damien.

Do you have a clue as to what was wrong with your old password, maybe save others from making the same mistake?

There was a message on the status reports page stating that people with passwords greater than 16 characters would have to change their password in order to access XStreetSL. I wonder if that is what the problem was here?

xsl password field is shorter than SLs it seems. I can't find the thread on the xsl forums but I'm pretty sure that's what the issue was.

Right, so in order to use all these new features LL are adding (or buying!), you have reduce the security of your password?

Or in other words LL are actively promoting the use of less secure passwords.

mmmm...

Glad to know you are sorted Fios. I feel astonished that the same logon protocol is not consistent across the board. If I had used any unusual/special characters it would be understandable, but the password that I failed with was just 8 characters and only used upper and lower case letters and numbers inrange 0-9!

I contacted support and, yes they said that my password was too long and to shorten it. I did this and have had no problems
