Hi. I know this is probably a very newb question for someone in SL as long as I have been but I have never tried to sell/resell anything before so the issue is a new one for me. I've searched for a thread with a similar problem and haven't found one.
My problem is this. I will be giving birth today and want to resell the maternity clothes I no longer need. I put an outfit, individual items, into the contents folder of a box prim. I mark it For Sale, price, contents. However when I try to buy the items with my alt, it shows that there are no items in the box and the only thing I received is the notecard from the creator that I have included with the outfit.
What am I doing wrong? I want to sell this outfit which is no copy/no mod/trans but can't seem to do it. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

For contents where you don't have copy permissions, I think you'll need to set the prim to sell as "original" instead of "contents". You'll notice that at yard sales there is usually a little reminder to take the box with you, that would be why.

Thank you but I've also tried that and it just sets the buyer as the new owner of the box. It doesn't actually give them anything. So in order to resell this way the new owner has to buy the box and then 'take' it? I was really hoping the items would go into their inventory even if the box itself stays put.

If the items are no transfer they will not show up as sellable items. Even if they are marked trans there are ways to make them no trans. Check if you can actually transfer them to someone without the box.

Yeah, they have to take the box after they own it. You could set the land with a short autoreturn to make sure they get it.
It makes sense that selling contents isn't allowed for no copy, otherwise a second person could come along and buy the contents of an empty box (well, just get that full perm notecard in your case).

Yes, good point and I suppose I'll just have to make a sign. I just wanted to make it originally so they buy the box and it goes to their inventory but since that doesn't seem possible, I'll do it this way. Thank you Viktoria!
