I've always played SL for poker. Any activities that earned me money went towards poker but then they removed it, even though I'm Canadian and the law doesn't effect me.

Can anybody suggest new things to do, excluding sex related, that might catch my interest?

There are skill games now, several varieties but most are boring. There is a Demons game at Extreme which is not too bad and there will be more games on the way (I might have a new one out by the end of this weekend).

well, to some extent, Canadian law does. Ever wonder why you can't play at Bodog?

I have no idea how to set up an account at any number of poker sites that accept Canadian players. No idea whatsoever. Haven't a clue how to fund one. Never played poker online for money in my life. EVER. In fact, if you PM me, I won't tell you where there are nice juicy online games that are very trustworthy and make SL poker look like the joke that it was. I won't tell you how to fund an account, and I won't give you any guidlines, such as where to get a free copy of pokertracker or how to maximize bonuses. Nope. No intention of giving up that info, so don't even ask.

nudge, nudge...

It really doesn't matter if the law affects you or not. It does affect LL. If they allow gambling, then they are barred from receiving payments by wire.

You could always develop an unhealthy Slingo addiction. First one's always free.

Set up a private poker table (there are poker game tables that do not deal in Lindens) among friends, with a gentlemen's agreement to pay each other. So long as no script or avatar is accepting money from others and doing a payout, I don't see how LL can object.

Then, when game players don't pay up, you can go to a Western sim (Tombstone?) and shoot each other up, lol. If you have winnings, you can swagger into a bar and spend them on floozies. If you amass many winnings, you can get a ranch in that really cool red rock desert sim (whose name I forget), buy a bunch of cool sculptie horses and open a dude ranch. Put your (one!) nonpaying poker table in a lushly appointed den above it that also has a pool table and knife-throwing-at-avatar game.

Your dude ranch can have a spa that gives hot rock massages. By floozies. And floozums (is that what a male floozie would be called)?

It's SL. Go wild.
