Hey i have US$4.30 as an SLX balence but i cant figure out how to send it to my Second Life account

It hasn't registered on the My Account Ballence page under support and still shows as 0.00 but does show as SLX balence, has there been a cock up with the system? and how do i get it from the exchange to second life?

They're two different entities, therefore you cannot send SLEX USD directly to your LL USD balance. You have to withdraw it from SLEX first, most people do that via Paypal.

YOu can probably convert it to Lindens in SLX then you will be able to withdraw it into SL. But to turn it back into dollars in SL you would have sell the Lindens and pay another conversion fee.

Hey Chaos. If you want to use the $ that you now have on SLX inworld, may as well just pay one fee to SLX and convert it to Lindens there. The transfer from SLX Lindens directly to your avatar inworld (what SLX terms "withdrawal";) is free.

I did the arithmetic awhile ago, accounting for paypal and Lindex fees vs. SLX "spread" and it turned out that for most transactions it was a little cheaper to buy Lindens at SLX than on the Linden exchange. No longer have the numbers at my fingertips, tho.

Colette, shouldn't you flame him for posting on the SL forums instead of the SLX forums? Is that flame-able (not to be confused with flammable) here? I mean it is more appropriately a topic for those forums, since the money is there.

:)

from what I hear he's more likely to find advice here.

You'd be amazed, if you can get around some of the BS that's posted there, at the amount of help offered there. I used to sit on SL forums all day, then I found the SLX forums. Less people, sure, but that's what's so nice about it, IMHO, that you can find a fairly quick answer there.

Don't get me wrong, I find a TON of stuff here still, but I've had no problems with SLX's forums and haven't heard of anyone who has.

/end hijack.
