The worst part is too, that I never even got those snapshots, what happened was I was taking snapshots for my profile, the first one didn't go through so I tried it 2 other times, I relog and I have a negative balance now! Fixes before features. (Please don't give me any money to fix it, thanks for that! )

I wonder how much sense it makes to charge people for snapshots -
When they turn right around and sell Lindens on the LindenX through Supply Linden.
Youd think if they removed the charge it would just streamline the whole process.

Thanks for helping me, but besides doing that, is there another way to fix it?
Yes, it doesn't make sense to charge for snapshots, Uploads maybe, but not snapshots.

Also: You are most welcome. I have lost some very expensive items in the past due to SL glitches. I can relate.

personally I think it's just a leftover economic money sink... get some of that cash back from stipends and whatnot.... plus the concept of privelge to use their asset server..
... personally all my snaphots go to disk, high resolution for editing... normal for "captured moments"... I dun trust the assest server enough to keep them in my inventory, upload em back if I really have a use for them... mostly they get archived or shown on my web page anyways

The reason the charge is in place is to prevent an overload of useless garbage being uploaded, or images being stored only with no intention of ever being used in SL. People would use it as a free storage bin for photos from birthday parties and family vacations. Think about it, if uploading was free, it would represent a completely private and free storage bin for images. Don't expect to see the charge go away, it wont.
Besides, what's not streamlined about it, when you upload an image, it's stored, and the 10L is automatically deducted from your account. What's not streamlined?
