It there a way to link, or attach all the objects in a house ( furniture, wall decorations, ect. ) so you can move the house with all of its contents in place and they will move with it???

Possible, yes. Desirable?

It's technically possible to link all those object, but bear in mind that you then have to UNLINK them, too.
And that means that every collection of prims -- such as in chairs, doors, the house -- will then be unlinked as well. You'll have to carefully select them and re-link, which is considerably more trouble than simply taking them all into inventory and putting them back. The potential for disaster is high: relinking only some the right prims and not realizing it until you've moved the piece. Accidentally linking different pieces together, etc.
Too bad SL doesn't allow builders to link items into units, then link units, the way you can in many software programs.

Thanks for the information!
If I do wind up having to move the house,,, I'll just take everything back into inventory. I was just hoping for a short cut to elimanate the chore of having to replace and repositon everything again.

*grins* When I moved to my current house I just pushed all items in my old house back into my inventory and started to re-decorate my new house. It was fun again . One of the reason my RL partner wants me to stay in SL.... That I do there my re-decorations of the house there and not in Real Life Morwen.

You can also do it without linking - but do so at your own risk as there is potential for disaster - especially if you are trying to drag across a sim border (basically don't!)
1) Make sure Tools > Select only my objects is on
2) Right click on the house, Edit
3) Holding shift, click and drag to make a box that encompasses everything that you wish to move.
4) Making sure the Edit box is on "Position", using the arrows manually drag - slowly - the stuff to where you want to move it. Providing you have included all the root prims of anything, the contents should move as well.
5) If you need to move your avatar position, you will find that it deselects everything - simply repeat these stages.
6) The above also works for "Rotate".
You should also be able to select everything, and "take copy" (providing there are no "no copy" things in it), then rez it when you get to your final destination, and then use the above to precision place the stuff.
Hope that helps
