I rent a skybox in the scarlet dreams sim, I have noticed that both estate managers and owners have left the group, this includes the person who I pay my rent to....

What happens to any items of mine that are in the skybox, if the sim owners do not pay the tier and LL close the sim down????
Also, if I was to cancel my account, what would happen to any of my items that are left in SL????

If the sim estate owner has quit, then the sim will suddenly disappear one day, and your stuff will be gone with it. It's possible to get LL to bring the sim back up while you get your stuff, but I wouldn't rely on it. It's best to gather up your stuiff and find somewhere else to live while the going is good.

take any no copy items into inv immediately. when a region is pulled down items do not get returned to your inv.

O hai Randy! The best thing to do in this situation is to go pick up your nocopy stuff asap. If the Lindens shut the sim down for nonpayment, you will lose your stuff unless you can persuade them to bring it up briefly so renters can get their stuff. (They've done that before).

If you cancel your account, you have the option to reactivate it for (I think) 60 days, with your inventory intact. If you don't do that, your inventory disappears forever. A much better option is to downgrade to a Basic account (if you are premium), make sure you have no recurring costs like tier or group memberships, and just don't log in until you feel like it. The account will stay just as you left it for a looooooong time.

(oh, and if you have rezzed stuff in SL and your account is closed/deleted, the stuff just stays there)
