We want an island. We need 7500 prims. You want an island. You need 7500 prims, too. But neither of us want to pay $1,675 USD startup and $300/month. Want to split the island? I have a long rich and trustworthy history in Second Life and want to share this sim with someone that can invest in it with me. Just look at yourself as a condo leaser without paying a hiked up price for island life and no fear of scamtards. We are interested in a snow setting, with water on our 1/2 of the island. What about you? Drop me a PM here or an IM in world as soon as possible. Thanks! Oh as far as trustworthy history - I started the mainland mall trend with Aqua Galleria the first Super Mall on the mainland (and it was invite only ) and i created and owned the first island shopping sim ever, Galleria City. I was born September 23, 2003, I am lifetime member (no not the same as a premium account) and we can talk about it more in world if you are interested.

Ask a sim owner to buy two openspaces for you, you'll have 7.500 prims splitted on 131.000 square meters (two entiere sims!) for the same money, that IMHO is better than have 7.500 prims on 32768 square meters. It depends of the destination indeed.. if it a shop it's easy to split it into two "sections" at sim cross border. Think it.

Afraid not. Openspace sims only provide 1875 prims each, so 2 would only give 3650. And you'd have to deal with all the usual sim crossing issues all the time.

Thanks Wildefire, I hadn't seen that - so I now officially declare my original post null and void (or should that be null and openspace..... )It certainly makes a difference! I had been planning on opening up 4 new regions this year, and then backfilling the voids with openspace sims as and when. Guess it's back to the drawing board! Inc (I'm typing this in a hotel reception in Tunis, connected wirelessly to the Internet - isn't technology a wonderful thing! )

Incanus - you are a braver man than I - I don't dare use my Des account from hotel wireless (long technical story)! Odds are, there isn't any SL-savvy villain lurking about like in a Humphrey Bogart movie, but then again, I'm totally paranoid @_@ Yea, isn't the whole voidsim thing cool? And have a great vacation (if it is one) - I've always wondered about that part of the world - fascinating place! Ah, and also - yeah, Briana's been around for ages, and seems pretty business-savvy. If I didn't have 20 people (literally) asking me for the same thing, mainly due to euro tax issues I'd consider it myself ... just no easy way to pick and choose among friends, I haven't done it for anyone yet. Good luck - and maybe even consider the full region and renting it out, if you can stand that.

Our problem is that the build we want is 5088 prims, 167meters long, 20m wide. Its a Super Yacht. So it really cannot be placed between 2 sims. Could be Openspace's for us and a 1700 prim yacht instead. IT's all good!

Maybe it will be less functionally but it can be safely placed b/w two sim (in it's lenght), and it would be alot more attractive to have two entiere sims of water around it! You must accept the compromise of sim crossing in the middle (or well where the middle of balanced prims will be) but imho it would be a good compromise. Anyway you surely know better than me what you need! Cheerz.

Hi Bri, Why dont you just rent 1/2 sim? Theres plenty of deals for whole, 1/2 and 1/4 sim rentals I see on the forum here everyday, all sorts of combinations of land controls, some you can terraform on, etc.

What i would like also are: - Sim name - Snow terrain If a few people got together they could come up with half the sim fee's and then we could do it. Maybe we should look into renting more. But I am still holding out for some people who are hungry for 7500 prims.

There's nothing wrong with this idea. I bought a half sim on the mainland, along with three partners. We share and share alike, income and outgo.
There's only one catch, that all the participants need to understand and agree to...there's only one Owner.
The owner is responsible for paying tier. The owner could also, if there was a falling-out among the partners and she was an unscrupulous sort, kick the others out with no compensation...just like an estate owner kicking out the renter of a smaller parcel.
If the partners trust one another (like me and my partners), this is not a problem.
Your partnership agreement should discuss things like what happens in case one of the partners wants out...do they get paid back what they put in? Or a share of the current value of the assets? Are transactions between partners in L$, or real currency?

There's a giant cruise ship (I think it's called the Galaxy) that's split across 3 full sims, and it works fine for them. If you split across 2 Openspace sims (as soon as the new prim limits are in effect), you'd have exactly the prims of 1/2 a normal sim with a lot more open area around it. It sounds like you've already found someone, but if you'd like to buy 2 openspace sims, and just need someone with a full sim to order them, send me an IM in world.
