Acceptable stats

I'm a very new island owner and I'm worrying that I'm getting paranoid about the stats. When I check out in the World - Region - Debug figures it tells me that scripts are running about 5.5-5.9

Is this good, or bad? How high should I let it get before I start taking some action?

There is no noticeable lag at the moment, but I'd appreciate any advise on what the figures in the various stats screens mean in reality.

of a single script?

the highest performing scripts there are running on my island don`t even pass the 0.100 and hang usually around the 0.060-0.080 (hippo board)

5.5 should either be a very important script or just a resource hogger, locate the script with the debug beacon to see what it`s supposed to do (prim container)

Hi,
thanks for that reply.

No, 5.5-5.9 is for all scripts. Just wondering how high that could get before I need to start worrying about it.

I'm not a sim owner, but I find the same numbers looking at TIME in the Ctrl+Shfit+1 menu. You may want to look between the two to see if the numbers are the same. Note: You'll have to click on the TIME bar at the bottom of the menu to open the time statistics. They are closed by default.

I've found that Script Time over 10.0ms starts to show lag. Until you hit 15-17ms, the lag is "workable". Beyond that, is sucks.

However, Script Time is only a part of sim resources (though usually the biggest). Look more at Total Sim Time on this menu. 20-22ms is average. Anything below 20ms is running smooth as silk. Anything above 24m is on rocky ground. Past 26ms and you're stutter-stepping and rubberbanding all over. Above 30ms and log and log in to another sim (cause you ain't gonna TP).

If you find the 5.5-5.9ms in the Ctrl+Shift+1 menu for Script Time, then you are WAY good at this point. Still, look over teh other stats. A lot of good information on this menu for sim owners and Residents alike. Just confusing to understand at first.

Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.

Thanks, that's useful info. I've used the stats bar before.

It would be nice if there was somewhere that explained what they all mean and gave some indication of comparisons.

There is. Somewhere in the Knowledge Base. Damned if I know where now though LOL.
