Or you could just make 100 or so alts, sign them in and stuff them in a box over your land for oh about a month. Then your ratings will skyrocket!

Since some of us don't drink coffee in SL, a cafe may not be a killer idea. : )

Unless...it's a place for performances, music/dance/poetry or it's a salon for conversations. I don't see that much in SL...real conversations or discussions with a group of people. Could be fun. It would be like a...social media.

Of course then nothing will rez and no one will be able to move at your business, and most people who teleport in will quickly leave.

Run an ad in classified, make sure your land and products show in search, make sure the land name is the business name, post new products on the new product thread. If you are advertising an event, post it in Events. Read some of the posts about optimizing your land for search. If you can afford to pay mall rent and write it off as advertising, a visible spot in a mall is like a billboard with benefits (and a lot of times those billboards cost almost as much as a mall space) even if you don't sell much. If you sell enough to break even or make a profit, add another space in another mall. In other words, get your name out there as much as possible.

Why would you want to advertise a RL business and cafe in SL? The only point I see to advertise in SL is advertising products that are IN SL, not RL.

Ya if you want false bot traffic as a Key indicator of how many eyes will actually pay attention to it.

My advice is do your research... just dont hunt for ad space, put it up and hope people pay attention. Some clubs or businesses will seek out event sponsors for an event they are holding. This is a great oportunity to have your ad/business showcased for a 2-3 hour period. As well the notion that free sex areas or freebie areas are great to be in... well yes they do get loads of traffic. However one must remember the demographic of the average avi is in this places... 1 day to 2 weeks old with as little as 5-10 hard earned L they picked up from a dance pad/camping chair or some line at welfare island. I am not bashing these places.. they do serve a purpose for the new avi other then having them fill out silly surveys.

Too many times SL is subjected to the kind of advertizing a garage band would do for a 50$ pay off at some dive in your town.. they will litter the center of town with photo copies of a playbill. What do you do when you see these... Most people do not pay attention or their attention span just ran out when they tped off to the next free sex area/freebie area.

remember who your intended audience is supposed to be... and remember who you are trying to reach :)

.

Some of us also don't do anything social, or build, or buy things, or do much of _anything_.
