Does anyone know of any issues the new Mac graphics cards have, or will have, with SL?

I've had some issues already and if there is one (Mac) model that is better than another as far as type of graphics card I'd like to know...Thanks.

They are all NVidia GeForce but some say GT by them? And yes I bow to those more tech savvy than I am...public admission of ignorance, here. (I still don't want to buy something I can't play SL on)

TIA, Clar

Anyone? Anyone? ...Bueller?

Among these graphics cards, what do you think? Any have known issues with SL?

Thanks in advance.

Spec-wise, the GT 120 appears to be a slowed down version of the GeForce 9500 GT, and the GT 130 seems to be sort of a desktop version of the 9700M GTS, again with slower clock speeds. I wouldn't call either one a powerhouse, but they're probably adequate to run SL at usable speeds with moderate settings.

I don't know enough about ATI cards to comment all that intelligently on the HB 4850. I can't seem to find any listing for it. Are you sure it's not the HD 4850? I don't feel like sorting through the whole Apple site to find whatever model Mac you were looking at. If it is the HD 4850, then according to the specs, it's far more powerful than either of the nVidia cards. ATI drivers tend to suck donkey balls, though, which is why I stay away from their hardware.

As far as card selection, I'm not aware that any of them have issues with SL specifically. The performance of the 4850 will be well beyond the others though.

I'm not sure if that applies to OS X though. I certainly have had no apparent problems, bug-wise or in regards to performance but I've never tried personally comparing either. I hear of more Nvidia-related problems than ATI with OS X.

Any of those; all are customisable to some degree.
