There is a fake Exchange Street out there thats been trying to get people to pay him

Exchange Street... REAL

Exchange Streeter....FAKE

I may get introuble for posting this but this type of scam shouldnt be allowed at all

Thanks for posting that there Tristin. I posted about it in the SLX forums yesterday trying to get the owners of SLX to have that account removed. This fake SLX avatar uses the SLX logo in its profile picture and has copy/pasted the same avatar information in its profile as teh real SLX avatar. This has been going on for over a year now. SLX should make steps to protect their customers from this.

I'm supprised LL hasnt deleted the account its pretty obvious the account is there only for running a scam :mad:

Thanks for the heads up. Looks like making noise about it may be working. I just checked inworld, and the fake avatar's profle, while still available, is now blank.

We would encourage all of you to file an AR on this Avatar. This is not the first time this Avatar has stolen our ad copy, and last time I believe LL was fairly quick to remove it.

We (either me personally as the writer or SLX corporately as the current copyright holder) will be filing a DMCA against the ad copy, but ARs are more likely to be reviewed and hopefully acted on faster.

When you do not feel like running off to find a SLX ATM just get this REMOTE DEPOSIT box and keep it rezzed. A much safer way to transfer money to SLX.

We have both SLX and LINDEX terminals at Lebettu (see signature for coordinates).
But truthfully, these days I seldom use an ATM myself...I do my banking directly from the SLX website. It avoids any possible issues like scammers putting a transparent prim over an ATM to "intercept" transactions.
