My current laptop has just about been beaten by SL, I've ordered a new one with these graphics cards "Dual 512MB Nvidia® GeForce™ Go 8700M GT - SLI Enabled" (copied straight from site, not trying to show off my knowledge) I'm no computer expert but I'm told it's a decent system will it handle SL ok? as my current laptop was supposedly good but has only given me 1 year of SL.

I have this on my laptop and it works very well:

NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics processor with dual-link DVI support and 512MB of GDDR3 memory

You've got a couple of good graphics cards in that machine, Anvil, but how are the rest of the specs? How much RAM? What type is the CPU, and what's it's speed? How fast is the hard drive? What OS? All these things will affect your SL performance.

Since you've got SLI, I'd recommend using XP instead of Vista if you possibly can. Vista and SLI do not get along very well.

I have the same laptop video card and SL works well for me (aside from issues which have nothing to do with the laptop such as server side performance and ISP performance). Chosen is right though, you have to look at other features he mentioned.

If the rest of the Laptop specs follow the Graphics cards.. it will do just great in SL, I just upgraded to a 8600 and SL looks much better than my old 9550 card
