Is It Possible?

To downgrade your account to basic, and then to somehow set it not to appear in Search? But to really still have an account?

If a person were to click on 'Creator' for objects you created, your profile would still come up? But, not in Search, just says 'None Found? Is this possible?

This sounds like a conundrum for Lewis Carroll.

Ok. Yes, that was confusing. Can you have an active account, and not show up in Search? If so, why can your profile still be accessed, in other ways, like looking at something you once created?

If an account is banned or deleted it will still show up on objects as creator or owner but it will not show up in search. If you have a calling card from the person they will show the profile also.

Ok. I knew the name would still show up as creator but seeing the profile come up threw me, I didn't think it would. thanks.

Whether you are Basic or Premium, you can unclick the "Show in Search" box that is on the 2nd Life tab of your profile - bottom left. This will keep your profile out of the ALL search and from web searches.

It will not affect the People tab searches. And anyone can still also get to your profile via any item's properties if you are the creator of said item, or directly from your Calling Card if they have that, or by double clicking your name from a group's member list.

If the account is canceled that simply eliminates the ability to find your profile via the People search and the ALL search, but all the other methods of pulling up your profile will still work.
