is there a way to spoof the teleporting that happens when someone offers you a teleport (which allow bypassing restricted landing coordinates TPing directly to an specific coordinate in the land/sim) to teleport anywhere?

If by "spoof" you mean offering a TP to wholly different place but looking like the real thing ... I don't think so.

We you offer tp it bring them to your location, you can type the text to anything you want so it may not reflect the location you are really at. ie. "in the tub" and really be at an info hub. That's how it always have been. The only time I've known it not to work is when the estate settings are messed up and you end up on the sim line.

I think he wants to use the "teleport invite" feature to bypass a teleport landing point.

What Argent said

I would like to know a way to have a TP invite without an inviter and to any destination I want, any time I want

I rather suspect LL has been pretty careful to avoid making that possible. :)

As I wrote, what you want is not implemented.

If you're finding the landing point on a particular plot of land to be inconvenient, try discussing the matter with the owner of the land. You may be able to convince them that the landing point should be moved. (or done away with)

this is not about a specific location, every now and then I go somewhere and end up in the wrong spot, depending on the reason of me trying to go there, I would ratter be able to go to the spot directly

are you sure there isn't any way to trigger from my own machine the behavior of the server that makes me teleport directly to a spot ignoring landing points, without there actually being an inviter? I funno, like spoofing packets or somthing

OK here's a trick I learned.... not sure if this is common knowledge, but still...

If you have a SLURL or have the location on the SL Map in the client, or even on an LM, when you tp there you will land at the designated landing point (if one is defined)

If you then tp to that same location again, you actually go to that location (not the landing point)

You can't bypass getting to the landing point, but you CAN get quickly to your destination in a two-hop.

Does this work for others, or am I confused?

That only works if you're the landowner or (I think) have an appropriate group role. It works that way because when you're not in the sim you're restricted unconditionally from bypassing the LP, but once you get there you can TP again and the internal sim teleport will let you.

Ah-HA - thanks, Argent - yes, I think I do that mostly on sims that I have some sort of group privs on. I'll double-check that next time I am in-world. Oh well, worth a try...

I think you are right. On parcels where I am group officer it works; on other parcels the landing point is it.

You used to be able to spoof tp offers... people went to the Teen Grid, people went to LindenWorld, people got banned... I don't think there's a way anymore :)

Lindenworld? like, internal grids or there was a time the original system was up and was compatible with the public clients of the day?

anyway, I don't plan on going anywhere i wouldn't be able to fly/walk to, I don't think there would be much talk about bans
