Land Auctions

Several times lately I have seen land around me on the map turn the purple that means they are for auction. When I go to the auction area on the website the properties are not listed. I also tried a search on the auction ID number on the property and got nothing. How does one find out about these auctions? (They aren't listed on the in world land search key under auctions either.) TIA

If land is painted purple this denotes having been added to the "auction queue". In my experience it then takes a couple of days or weeks to show up on the block (in the actual auction listing).

You'll have to check the auction page regularly for the parcel until it does.

When a parcel in my sim went to auction (in early 200 I had to wait more than a month for it to show up.

I placed an URL bookmark in my browser, searching or the sim name in the auction list, and clicked on the link 1-2 times per day.

Some sims have been purple for many months.

(Such a long time period is probably more likely for whole-sims than for parcels within a sim, though.)
