I was logging on to SL up unitl October when I moved and everything worked ok. My partner had to put the computer in to be fixed and they had to wipe the hard drive. I'm now logged back in to SL but have no sound at all. The sound works ok for other applications I use but not SL.

Can someone help me? I'll need it in SL Sound for Dummies Language lol.

Many thanks in advance

I would suggest checking in the sound options that your video card is set up for the output. Maybe when they reinstalled something happened and SL isn't seeing the card until you manually select it.

That's why I bring my own PC to work, use the backbone, and nobody will notice :)
But then I'm on SL using a semi-private 1 Gbit synchronous fibre uplink. whoooooo

I've managed to get it up and working now. I had a look at some of the settings on the sound bit on the control panel and I have sound and music now.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

You... are... GOD! Man i wish i had access to the backbone or i would do the same. Oh well. Guess i'll stick to the forums for the 8 hours my AV is alone. Hope he isn't getting into too much trouble without me.

Nice job fixing the problem. Glad you got your sound back :D
