help! whats crash logger??

i'm a new member and as I'm trying to change my appearance it keeps freezing and says something about detecting hardrive and second life crash logger?

please how can I avoid this. My laptops not that bad and its Vista no i don't think its my laptop causing the problem.

Much appreciated for help.

Crash logger is nothing more than the piece that sends feedback about crashes. In your Preferences you can tell it not to ever send the info, but that will not actually stop a crash.

it keeps saying gathering hardware information. hardware may appear frozen and then the programme disappears :(

POST IN TECH HELP ANd make sure to post your computer specs not just vista but the CPU, GPU, MEMORY, wireless or are you pluged in? etc.

it sounds like a gpu issue to me. or a driver issue!

Sounds like you are crashing at start up like many others. Helps to post your system specs so peolpe can help troublshoot your problem

To some it does, unfortunately.

Do the follwing:
1) Update all drivers of your system, esp. graphics, to the very latest version
2) Then, do what Distilled said:
