Lately I have noticed that when i make an outfit, there is a seam showing between the top and bottom, I.E shirt and pants..I have checked and rechecked on ps AND AV painter, and there is no seam, but in world it is showing. This is the first time this has happened..it's been about the past week. Is there something I should know? Is LL just playing a trick on me, or what!

I get that too, between shirt and pants

when I made a long shirt, and used the shirt and pants layers I get a noticeable seam where they meet

however using the exact same textures to do it on the jacket layer, results in no seam at all

very weird

Has it just been happening recently to you, Rha? Cuz I never had that problem before.

I haven't noticed personally in any of my clothing designs recently like that but there
is certain amount of darker shadowing that happens to lower part of avatar
that often I try to compensate for.
And middle sections I always put some type of transitional texture in between
upper and lower sections.
But I may just not see it even on Windlight with 768 ram, and Geoforce 6200 graphic card.

I dunno - I'm probably wrong. I just remember someone posting a picture of an avatar taken at different times of day and a seam appeared at one time.

off and on for a few months

have not done any clothing recently so not sure if it is still doing it

I just kinda chalked it up to SL and it's borkishness

no one has made any mention of it that purchased the clothing that I was seeing it on

when I finally get home I will check and see if I still see it (laptop on the hospital wifi too slow to do anything in SL with)

I have that not on clothing, but on one avi in a furry skin. She didn't have that before, was always smooth as a baby's butt, but for a few weeks now she shows a black seam between top and bottom layers that no amount of rebaking will cure.

And here I thought that was just my poor ability in Photoshop! I did everything I used to do that kept it from happening, but sometimes, nothing would work. Thank you for posting this!

I've seen seems between top and bottom appear and disappear as if it were a rezzing thing.

Maybe you are pregnant Yummy? I have noticed my own shirts have been riding up my stomach recently as well.

Yeah, but this is SL - preggy males would be allowed.

Gawd, could you imagine? And even worse, if it was a talking tummy... "Daddy needs to take his vitamins!"

I don't remember the characters involved, but I once read an anecdote which seems appropriate. A politician - a somewhat corpulent politician - was giving a speech, and was heckled by a member of another party, who shouted 'what're you going to name the baby?'. Thinking faster than I ever could, he replied 'if it's a girl, I shall name it after my mother. If it's a boy, I'll name it after my father. If it's nothing but a bag of wind, which I suspect - I shall name it after you'.

I like that anecdote, and many thanks to Pep for giving me a reason (at last) to share it. :)
