Just a few small questions, I hope you can help!

So I am working on a new look for my AV. One that I may use in my persuits of a good RP group to get into. I am looking to get some items to complete the look, but it's been difficult because I do not have the typical male av size. I have a small AV, which, according to the height detector that I have, is 5'8".

I'd like to get some handguns, but just about all the ones I have seen that look nice, are also HUGE on my AV. They are, of course, no mod and cannot be resized. So where can I find some handguns, and maybe a good rifle, that I can resize to fit my av better?

Also have been looking for some melee weapons, and have run into the same situation. So if anyone could help on that front, I'd appriciate that too.

There are plenty of great gun/weapons makers out there. One that comes to mind right away is Eata Kitty. She may have some mod versions for you to resize or may even help with that.

Another option is head to yadnis and get some freebies you can mess with and improve the look on if you are interested in doing that kind of thing.

Most weapons in SL are too big...even for the oversized avatars you generally find. I think part of it's to do with the minimum 10mm prim dimension (unless you torture the prim, a technique for getting around that limitation.

I'm pretty fond of my M1911A1 .45 automatic, though...It's made by Gunslinger Kurosawa. Look him up on SL Exchange.

I have no idea if this is still the case, but for the melee weapons, you might want to check the LOTR sim; the weapons were a bit smaller, for the hobbits....

Thanks everyone! I did go check out Breach, and Eata Kitty was very helpful and nice. So I did purchase some weapons there..

Now my search for the melee weapons begins! Off to the LOTR sims I go.

Damn I wish I had seen this before you bought.
I used to buy exclusively Breach weapons but now a significant number of rp and combat sims outlaw them as being too laggy. I do not believe they are anymore but sim admins are unwilling often retest black-listed weapons.

As a consequence I had to buy some approved weapons for my recent areas of play. I chose Black-Ops which are simillar in price and quality to Breach. almost everywhere accepts Black-Ops.

Before you use your guns in an rp area check with the GM or the rules, almost all of the entrance rules have a black-list of weapons. sorry to be the bearer of bad news, believe me with my beloved 18C dual hand guns and my P90 I was gutted to not be able to use them also.

Eata if you read these forums, you might want to talk to some of the rp sims and attempt to get your weapons reaccepted as they are fabulous but I suspect many are getting the experience I have had.
