these weird lines appear on a friend's screen often enough to be irritating seems to be related to being on a ball no matter what kind (bacvkgammon, dancing, XXX) it is resolved when they tp to another sim and then tp back any ideas about why this is happening and how to correct it? http://img230.imageshack.us/my.php?image=mailsm3.jpg

That looks an awful lot like a texture glitch I get sometimes. Everythng just sudennly is all wierd lines sometimes offset at strange angles. Editing something and clicking the texture tab in the edit window usually fixes it for me.

if you see random triangles like this: ctrl-p graphic hardware option UNCHECK-DISABLE OpenGL-Vertex-Buffer-Objects (VBO) makes it slower and more stable. http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-5955this also happens more often on sculpted prims or large linksets, if so, just select the object, but thats just a short fix.

Actually I have VBO off already and its a totally different graphical glitch

I just had a strange texture glitch. Some time ago I'd experimented with the 'webpage as texture' option and I thought I'd de-activated it. But today, my chosen webpage (my Flickr album) appeared on all the textures in my home that were set to 'blank'. So I just clicked my land and reset the details and texture - it took 2 or 3 goes but it was OK afterwards.

I actually didn't have any issues with this till this last patch that was released 2 days ago. sigh. I turned off VBO in the options and that seems to have fixed it.

Folks experiencing this, do you have ATI graphics cards? If so, you may want to consider updating your driver, if you haven't already. Be sure to uninstall your current driver before updating. .

Sometimes, completely at random, when I open map view the regions will be filled with textures from my inventory. And, for about three weeks a short while ago, my home region and the neighbouring one looked like this: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3269/2702187574_d50d186a0d_o.jpg
