Interesting, I know a lot of people who would love to change their last names to their Partners last name. I am betting that they would be willing to pay for it too.

I would not change my avatar name.
Depending on price, I might be interested in making an alt with my RL name, though.

From: Marianne McCann I would not change my avatar name. Depending on price, I might be interested in making an alt with my RL name, though. Mari The question was: would you change your name. Did it mention avatars? Actually, I *would* change my RL name now and again if it wouldn't make such a mess of my financials doing so. Just think, I could be "Squee Skwerl" for a week, then "Manuelo Inigo Montez Montoya Hidalgo" for a few days, then "3Dez" for a while, and so on. It would be fun, and I'd be able to dress any way I wanted and kinda get away with it... signed, Rapa Moana Dezza Nui

They have to make it cost something, just to keep folks from using it as a frequent grief device. It's been in Ultima Online for a couple of years now and I've not heard of it being abused - possibly because it costs about $30 and can only be done once. :/

I don't want to change my name. But I think the opportunity to let people do so is worthwhile and I see no reason why LL shouldn't charge a modest fee for the privilege. In exceptional circumstances they should do it for free, like if you've been stalked or you're called something like Pooper77 Pepperpot and someone in RL called Pooper77 Pepperpot goes on a gun rampage and becomes a household name.

A survey came up last night about what gender you play in SL versus RL. What's with these things, anyway?

One idea....to be able to change last name when you Partner. Maybe an extra charge to change one last name to the other person's. It could be incorperated into the current form and partner fee.

I wouldn't pay to change mine. I use it in so many other places now it would be a complete pita to change.

Sorry, what's the trick to get those survey popping up for you? Do they only show up for the main viewer, not the RC or something?
In 13 months, I only saw one coming up when I logged in, but that's like ages ago...

In 13 months, I only saw one coming up when I logged in, but that's like ages ago... Seems to be random. I'm using the RC, for what it's worth, but I've seen the "better/worser" on all of 'em. Mari
